Cardinals Fall on the Road at No. 19 Ursinus, 2-0

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. - The Catholic University field hockey team fell on the road at No. 19 Ursinus Tuesday night at Snell Field, 2-0.

Tuesday marked the fourth game for the Cardinals (6-7) this season against a team ranked in the Penn Monto/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III Coaches Poll. The loss also snapped the team's three-game win streak.

Ursinus (10-4) struck first just three minutes into the game to take a 1-0 lead that held up through the end of the first half.

Catholic had a strong second half effort, recording five of its six shots, but once again, the Bears scored early to secure the two-goal victory.

Sophomore Grace Olson totaled two shots for the Cardinals while senior Lane Adams had one. Freshman Maysen Elliot tallied five saves while junior Nicole Tsiaras had one defensive save and now has 11 this season. She has had at least one defensive save in nine of the team's 13 games this season.

Catholic returns home to face Landmark Conference opponenet Moravian for Cardinal Weekend on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. The Cardinals will then host No. 14 Christopher Newport on Sunday at 3 p.m.
