Galfond Selected as CoSIDA Academic All-American

WASHINGTON - Brian Galfond of The Catholic University of America men’s soccer team has been selected to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-America Third Team for his successes on the field and in the classroom.

This past season, Galfond led the Catholic offense with 13 points on five goals and three assists and was selected to the All-Landmark Second Team. The Gaithersburg, Md., native started 17 games and made 19 appearances. He recorded the gamewinner against conference rival the University of Scranton.

Off the field, Galfond boasts a 3.90-grade point average as a mechanical engineering major. He has achieved Dean’s List every semester since arriving at Catholic. Additionally, Galfond has earned a spot on the Landmark Conference Honor Roll each of their eligible semesters.
