FREDERICK, Md. - The Catholic University women's cross country team finished in second place at the Hood Open on Saturday.
The Cards were led by Senior Kiera Lyons who finished in third place with a time of 22:31.6. Freshman Paige Wilderotter was the second Cardinal to finish with a time of 23:53.2, placing her in seventh. Freshman Hannah Marino followed just behind finishing in eighth place (23:55.2).
"The women ran yet another solid race with their 5th straight meet placing in the top three as a team" said Director of Cross Country and Track & Field Steve Rahn. "We had solid performances from the top three with big performances coming from Marykate and Alex. The women are strong, confident, and having fun heading into the final weeks before Landmark Championship."
The Cardinals will race next at the Landmark Conference Championships in Lebanon, Pa. on Saturday, October 27 at 11 a.m.
