Lyons Earns All-Landmark Conference Second Team Honors

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Catholic University women's cross country senior Kiera Lyons was named as a member of the All-Landmark Conference Second Team as a result of her ninth-place overall finish at this past weekend's Landmark Conference Championships.

Lyons, who led the Cardinals to top three finishes in every meet this season, was one of 12 runners in the 81-competitor field to finish with a sub-24 minute 6K. The Harwood, Md., native crossed the line in 23:41.62.

In addition to her all-conference selection this season, Lyons was also chosen as the Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week on October 1. She earned the nomination after running a time of 22:35.69 at the 30th Annual Don Cathcart Invitational in Salisbury, Md.

Lyons will look to build on her momentum at the 2018 NCAA South/Southeast Regional Championships at the Berry Clara Bowl on Saturday, November 10 at 11 a.m.
