Cardinals Place 12 on NFHCA National Academic Squad

GILBERT, Ariz — The Catholic University field hockey team continues to add to its list accolades for its success in the classroom as 12 different Cardinals were recognized on the Zag Field Hockey / National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III National Academic Squad.

The Division III National Academic Squad program honors student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.3 or higher through the first semester of the 2018-19 academic year.

Senior Hannah Schied was recognized as a four-time honoree on the annual squad. She was joined by juniors Katie Anderson, and Carly Philbin, sophomores Grace Olson, Meghan Shallow, and Jess Waite, and six freshmen in Maysen Elliot, Claire Flannery, Grace Jung, Caleigh McGough, Vene Eartha Richardson-Powell, and Julia Scanlon.

Last month Catholic was recognized as a Zag / NFHCA DIII National Academic Team.
