WASHINGTON, D.C. - For the second time in two weeks, junior forward Elizabeth Johnson has been named Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week for her offensive success with the Catholic University women's soccer team.
Johnson scored three goals and assisted on two more in the Cardinals' two matches this past week. On Wednesday's 6-3 win over Hood, she scored both the first goal in the 6th minute and the final goal in the 88th. The Media, Pa. native added two assists in between to Grace Boras and Bella Bertoncini.
Over the weekend, Johnson provided the game-winning goal in the Cards' 2-1 win over Berry College. She now has five goals and five assists in just four matches to start the season.
Catholic travels to Owings Mills, Md. for a match against Stevenson on Wednesday, Sept. 13 at 7 p.m.
